Common questions
Restore a purchase
Already subscribed on this Apple ID or Google account? Open the paywall (Profile → Hanzi Master, or any locked lesson) and tap Restore purchases. Your subscription will be recognized without charging you again.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they're managed there:
- iOS — App Store account → Subscriptions.
- Android — Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Deleting your account does not cancel billing — cancel it in your store account as well.
Delete your account
You can delete your account any time from Profile → settings → Delete Account. This permanently and irreversibly removes your profile, XP, streaks, and all lesson progress. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play settings (see above).
Trouble signing in
You can sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. Use the same method you signed up with — signing in a different way creates a separate account. If you're stuck, email us and we'll sort it out.
My progress isn't showing
Your progress is saved to your account, not the device, so make sure you're signed in with the same method you used to sign up. If it still looks off after signing in, let us know.
